What causes kidney stones?

What causes kidney stones? This is my 3rd episode in the past 3 years.

There is no single cause why one develops kidney stones. In most cases, there are several factors, which create conditions making it favorable for stones to develop.

Kidney stones generally occur when certain minerals start to precipitate in the urine as crystals. The most common minerals that cause kidney stones include calcium, oxalate and uric acid. Dehydration is a common cause for formation of kidney stones. A major factor for most medical disease is simply BAD LUCK.
