I have been having severe spasms of
pain on the left side of my abdomen. The pain often comes in waves and radiates
to the pubis. The pain is excruciating and I have to lie down drenched in
sweat. Do you think I may have colitis?
I think you may have kidney stones.
Kidney stones are common and often present with pain,
which starts in the flank and moves to the pubis. Most people cannot tolerate
the pain- it is very painful. The stones may be big and when they pass through
the ureter it can be downright painful. You may see some blood in the urine.
Best advice, drink lots of water,
take some pain medications and see a doctor as soon as possible.
