Fever with kidney stone


Can one have a fever with a kidney stone?

Sure, besides pain, kidneys stones can cause difficulty in urination, you may see some blood in the urine, develop nausea and vomiting and develop an urge to urinate. Certain kidney stones do get infected and present with fevers and chills. You can feel pretty awful when you have an infected stone. The majority of infected stones are made of magnesium and tend to be very big.
