Rheumatoid arthritis and exercise

I am a 46 year old female and was recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis of my fingers and wrist. Is it harmful to start exercise?

No, if you can tolerate it, I highly recommend exercise. You can go online and there is ample advice on what types of exercises you can perform. You certainly do not have to get a consult from physical therapists. These professionals have started to rip off the public with fancy consults and recommending exotic exercises. Just do any type of activity with your hands that is tolerated. Remember, if you do not exercise, the joints will become stiff and distorted,’
